Atharva Shirsha Homa is for getting the complete blessings of Lord Maha Ganapati. Specifically fame, education everything needed to lead a contended life. Power full mantras chanted during the Ganapathi Atharva sheersha homa gana sooktha, Rudra chamaka and other ganapathi related mantras chanted. Modaka, vastra, phala danas given in the end of tha homa.
Lord Mahaganapthi is also known as Ganesha, Gajanana, Vinayaka,Vighna Nivaraka etc. In Hinduism people worshiping Mahaganapathi because lord Ganesha eradicates/ to destroy all kinds of hindrances and problems/ difficulties faced by an individual. For this it is necessary to perform Atharva Shirsha Homa which can bring peace among individuals and also provides a smoothing effect to the mind as well as the body. It also purifies the environment.

Procedure:

• The 10 main mantras used in this homa called Ganapathi Atharva sheersha
•  Four dhravyas (materials) are offered in this homa.The four dhravyas are: Modhaka (a type of sweet), Laja,  Doorva(a type of grass) Sajya samith. (Ghee dipped samithu)
•  For each dhravya 10 members recite the 10 main mantras 10 times. Totally for each dhravya the recitation is  done 1000 times,bringing the grand total of recitations to 4000
• One is getting married
• To remove obstacles

Purpose : To bring peace, to overcome from losses a person suffering from, to remove obstacles.

Ekadasha Rudra Pooja(ಏಕಾದಶ ರುದ್ರ ಪೂಜೆ) in Gokarna

Om Namha Shivay,

Shri Rudram describes the name or epithets of Rudra. It includes praying of Lord Shiva in by all his name. Shri Rudram is recited to get blessing of Lord Shiva. It is considered effective for the fulfilment of one's wishes.

Ekadasha means Eleven, this is considered to be holy number in Hindu tradition. 

There are Shata Rudra , Maha Rudra and Atirudra  with respective count of 121 ,1331 and so on.

After chanting Rudram by priests for 11 times in total. Pooja is done to Lord Mahabaleshwara.
