Gokarna is the only place in Entire south india where Devotees can perform pooja with touching idol.

There are several pooja's which is done for Lord Mahabaleshwara.

Ekadasha Rudra Pooja(ಏಕಾದಶ ರುದ್ರ ಪೂಜೆ) in Gokarna

Om Namha Shivay,

Shri Rudram describes the name or epithets of Rudra. It includes praying of Lord Shiva in by all his name. Shri Rudram is recited to get blessing of Lord Shiva. It is considered effective for the fulfilment of one's wishes.

Ekadasha means Eleven, this is considered to be holy number in Hindu tradition.

There are Shata Rudra , Maha Rudra and Atirudra with respective count of 121 ,1331 and so on.

After chanting Rudram by priests for 11 times in total. Pooja is done to Lord Mahabaleshwara.

Purpose :

For Divine Grace and Blessing of Lord Shiva
For Health, Wealth and Prosperity
For Success in career, job, business and relationships
For spiritual upliftments
