Tila Homam, also spelled Thila Homam, is a powerful Vedic ritual performed with ‘Til’ or ‘Ellu’ to get rid of the difficulties arising due to Pithru Dosha (Ancestor Dhosha). Homa or Havana are Hindu ritual of offering holy materials to the Agni or fire while chanting mantras and Brahma Gayatri,Vishnu Gayatri, Rudra Gayatri japas. Thilahomam is mainly performed after offering Tharpana to forefathers. Gokarna is the right place to do this religious work.

Reasons for Pitru Dosha

The main reasons for Pithru Dhosham (Pitru Dosha) are the non performances of srardhams and other rituals correctly to appease our ancestors. Similarly, Pitru Dosha may happen if anyone of the family members may have died in accidents or unnaturally and the departed soul does not get peace. According to various Purans, it is referred that if any ancestors up to the 4th generation on the mother’s side and up to the 7th generation on the father’s side may have died at an early age or have had an unnatural death, the currently generation may have been suffering from Pitru Dosha. And to remove this Pitru dosha we need to perform  Tharpana and Thila Homa ritual correctly and satisfy our ancestors and obtain their blessings.

Atharva Shirsha Homa is for getting the complete blessings of Lord Maha Ganapati. Specifically fame, education everything needed to lead a contended life. Lord Mahaganapthi is also known as Ganesha, Gajanana, Vinayaka,Vighna Nivaraka etc. In Hinduism people worshiping Mahaganapathi because lord Ganesha eradicates/ to destroy all kinds of hindrances and problems/ difficulties faced by an individual. For this it is necessary to perform Atharva Shirsha Homa which can bring peace among individuals and also provides a smoothing effect to the mind as well as the body. •  Four dhravyas (materials) are offered in this homa.The four dhravyas are: Modhaka (a type of sweet), Laja,  Doorva(a type of grass) Sajya samith. (Ghee dipped samithu)
•  For each dhravya 10 members recite the 10 main mantras 10 times. Totally for each dhravya the recitation is  done 1000 times,bringing the grand total of recitations to 4000

1)National Highway 206 (NH 206/State Highway 68), the route goes through Tumkur, Kadoor, Shimogga, Honnavara, Kumta and Gokarna. While coming in  this way you can visit Jog Falls.

2)National Highway 4, route goes through Tumkur, Chitrdurga, Davangere, Haveri then one should turn to Sirsi direction. From Sirsi through Devimane Ghat, you can reach Gokarna.

This is an pooja vidhi in the memory of the dear departed. If for three consecutive years the offerings are not made to the dear departed then the dead gets vehement, so to calm them these offerings are made. This is performed on Amavasya the day of ancestors. 

We should strictly do Shraddha for Dear Departed one's every year with spiritual procedures. If we couldn't able to do then problem may arise like Unsatisfied dead atamas will troubles us in the form of demons,goblin, corpse, demi-gods, of the sky/ bodies or not getting sucess in our deeds.

By performing Tripindi Shraddha we can get rid of Pitru Dosha and can give Salvation to Ancestor (Moksha or Nirvana).

Ekadasha Rudra Pooja(ಏಕಾದಶ ರುದ್ರ ಪೂಜೆ) in Gokarna

Shri Rudram describes the name or epithets of Rudra. It includes praying of Lord Shiva in by all his name. Shri Rudram is recited to get blessing of Lord Shiva. It is considered effective for the fulfilment of one's wishes.

Ekadasha means Eleven, this is considered to be holy number in Hindu tradition. 

There are Shata Rudra , Maha Rudra and Atirudra  with respective count of 121 ,1331 and so on.

After chanting Rudram by priests for 11 times in total. Pooja is done to Lord Mahabaleshwara.
